Billing and Payments Management System (hereinafter referred to as “ BPMS, we, us and our”) is committed to protecting and respecting our service users (hereinafter referred to as “you and your”) privacy when you make use of our service site https://pay.ogunstate.gov.ng.

Your personal information is confined behind a secured technology platform that is accessible to ONLY a limited number of persons who have special access rights to the platform, and are required to keep the information provided strictly confidential. We are making use of a secured framework and highly secured data storage. Data on the system is transmitted and received securely in an encrypted connection called HTTPS (Hypertext Transfer Protocol Secure). This enables us to have reasonable safeguards on administrative, technical, and security measures employed to protect your information.

    Our platform is hosted by a renowned cloud storage provider that offers additional safeguards such as firewalls. We also make efforts to limit access via passwords. The need for access is periodically reviewed.

    All these measures are intended to prevent the loss, misuse, or unauthorized access, disclosure, alteration, or destruction of the personal information you provide or information we collect through this website.

  11. How long we store your data
  12. In general, we will retain all information collected through the BPMS website for the length of time permitted by law. However, we will delete any personally identifiable information in our database upon your request or as otherwise required by law. We may, however, retain non-personally identifiable information indefinitely.

  13. Data Security
  14. We implement and maintain appropriate safeguards in protecting personal data. We offer the use of a security server. All actions and information are transmitted via Secure Socket Layer (SSL) technology and then encrypted only to be accessible by those authorized with special access rights on the system and are required to keep the information confidential.

  15. Data Subjects’ Rights.
  16. As a Data Subject, you have some rights in relation to the way we handle your Personal Data. These include the following rights:

    1. to withdraw your Consent at any time;
    2. to ask for access to the Personal Data that we hold;
    3. to prevent our use of the Personal Data for direct marketing purposes;
    4. to object to our Processing of Personal Data in limited circumstances; and
    5. to ask us to erase Personal Data without delay:
      1. if it is no longer necessary in relation to the purposes for which it was collected or otherwise processed;
      2. if the only legal basis of Processing is Consent and that Consent has been withdrawn and there is no other legal basis on which we can process that Personal Data;
      3. if you object to our Processing where the legal basis is the pursuit of a legitimate interest or the public interest and we can show no overriding legitimate grounds or interest; and

About BPMS:
The BPMS is a centralized repository for authentic bills and demand notices from all Ministries, Departments and Agencies of the Ogun State Government. All genuine bills from the OGSG BPMS have a unique Payment Code as well as a QR Code that can be used to validate authenticity of all bills. The BPMS also enables online and bank branch payment for all MDA bills. A receipt of payment is also automatically generated and sent to payer as well as the Ogun State MDA.
